Chambre: Dürrenmatt
An exhibition laboratory on Dürrenmatt
painting / graphics / text / music
28.06.2024 – 02.08.2024
Haus Kunst Mitte is showing reproductions of Dürrenmatt's remarkable drawings and selected works by students from 2023 and 2024: designs for a cosmological turning and moving machine, an audio essay on the subject of prostitution in Dürrenmatt and elsewhere, sketches on the subject of scale or Dürrenmatt's ghostly serenity, prints as an examination of Dürrenmatt's graphic style.
You can also look forward to musical compositions and mountains of text, numerous paintings and dance performances, a fictional dialog with the author in his office and prose lecture works that artistically develop and continue Dürrenmatt's work.
A three-year exchange project between the Berlin University of the Arts and the Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel in Switzerland will continue this summer semester 2024. With the participation of the Fondation WhiteSpaceBlackBox, Neuchâtel, and this year the Académie de Meuron – Ecole d'arts visuels Neuchâtel and Haus Kunst Mitte, Berlin.
